Overview
Binding Site provides specialized testing for Multiple Myeloma, delivering results that align with recommended clinical guidelines and set the standard for diagnostic accuracy. When they came to us, the challenge wasn't the science—it was communication. Primary care physicians play a critical role in early detection and patient guidance, but the tools and resources available to support them weren't fully meeting their needs.
The goal was to understand that audience deeply: how they currently treat patients with Multiple Myeloma, where they struggle, and where there was opportunity to better educate and equip them. Those insights would then directly inform improvements to the web experience and shape future marketing efforts.

Our Process
We started with research which included stakeholder interviews, existing data, and secondary sources. It built a clear picture of the primary care physician audience before drawing any conclusions. From that foundation, we developed detailed profiles for each key role, organizing the content in a format that was both clinically aligned and genuinely easy to use.
With the profiles in hand, we developed journey maps tracing the healthcare provider's experience from initial patient interaction through the steps to diagnosis. These maps brought the human side of the process into focus, surfacing the key actions, emotions, pain points, and moments where better information or clearer pathways could make a real difference.
From there, the insights moved directly into execution. We optimized the existing web experience to better address the primary care physician audience—enhancing the educational content, improving the information architecture, and delivering a more intuitive user experience tailored to how this audience actually thinks and works.


Conclusion
In healthcare, clarity isn't just a design value, it's a patient outcome. For Binding Site, that meant taking the time to truly understand the providers at the center of the diagnosis journey before making a single change to the experience.
By grounding the work in research and letting real insight drive every decision, we helped Binding Site build a stronger connection with the audience that matters most. The result is a web experience that educates more effectively, reduces friction for providers, and ultimately supports better care for patients.
